TSU Teaser 3 - WIP

I always did mean to get back around to drawing teaser posters for TSU. The next in order was Thomas, but he proved to be difficult both to visualize and conceptualize. >.<.

First itération. Possibly Second or third, but definitely the furthest I got. As you can see, I didn't like it. And Audrey made a very valid point: its very hard to read what exactly is going on. If you cant tell, its Thomas' back. At this point in time I'm so used to working on it/ looking at it, I can tell, but I dont count. But there just wasn't enough drama/ tension.

WIP of the second (or third of forth) itération of the poster. I'm still not too sure how exactly I'm going to color it, but after all the time I put into the line work, its probably not going to be the cutout style I used above (and for the 2 prior teaser posters). I might try out (and am currently trying out) a painting technique that synthétises the cutout style with my watercolor-esque style.

Oh the image here is far more cluttered than what I'm painting. This is actually an accumulation of my sketches, initial rough (the cyan blue) under the shadows and second rough (the purple), and finally the outline top layer (the dark blue). It'll need some more tightening up, but with any luck, I wont have to worry too much about line.

The Thick Of Things

I feel like I spent so much time on this... and yet... it looks just MEH. But maybe thats just me. Maybe I've just been staring at it for too long >. >
Cleaned and Colored version of the thumbnail. After all that work, I dont even know if I'm going to use this cover. And before all that - BEFORE ALL THAT - I need to fix the banner on the TimeshareUnlimited website. SORELY. And, oh I dunno, do more cover sketches. Or, heaven forbid - ACTUALLY START DRAWING THE COMIC.

The thing is - I dont know if I like this style. I like the hair. And I like her face shape. And her body shape. But, I dont know at all about the style.

Timeshare Unlimited

I suppose this would be better suited on my Timeshare Tumblr. And I might just put it there as well. But I felt like putting it up here. Its just a thumbnail sketch, really, of the TSU chapter One cover. But somehow - maybe because a friend of mine is launching her web-comic - somehow I feel motivated to get the HELL out of my own way and FINALLY draw this comic.

I found the script and the first couple of pages (prologue pages actually) roughed up. And as I read over the script (A re-write as it so happens) I discovered that I really liked it. Like, I keep saying I continuously return to TSU because I cant think of anything better to do and its true. I cant. But its also a kicking script. A bit silly, a bit weird, DEFINITELY on the slightly unbelievable side of SciFi - but all in all a BLAST.

The only real problem I had with TSU was I didn't know what the characters looked like. In my mind - originally at least - the style was supposed to be an uber-realistic, crime noir american comic. But I dont draw like that. And when I do, it takes forever to do. Its not fun for me to draw like that. So I'm not too sure what style it'll be in, but I think I'm liking my thumbnail sketch, A LOT.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is: I'm drawing Timeshare Unlimited. Its going to take a while. And probably a lot of kicking my own butt into place - but it will happen. I'm going to start with the prologue stuff - because I have it done. Then I'm going to have to rough the rest of chapter one. Thats going to take a while...
